Workout Partners for the 365

The bulk of my 365 plan lies in fitness.

I know diets that don't require you to workout are all the rage, but honestly, I like working out. And more, as I told you, I'm going hardcore.

I want abs!

Now, two years ago, right before my first trip to Paris, I did a workout on Beachbody on Demand. It was Joel Freeman's Liift4 and I loved it! In the 8 weeks of the program, even at my weight, I was seeing my body change. I hadn't lost any weight according to the scale, but I was gaining muscle like mad! I had obliques!!

It was that program that made me realize I really am capable of changing my body, so everything in the 365 starts and ends with Joel Freeman.

Sadly, I came back from Paris really sick, then came Christmas, then...

You know how it goes.

Now I recently tried a workout of Joel's just to see if I was still capable and I am. I have to modify like crazy, stop and rest between sets, but I can do the program, and that's huge for me.

This is a weight lifting program done 4 days a week with intervals. You do a weight set of lifting, then some high intensity cardio, then repeat. It goes fast and I went from lifting 5 pounds weights when I started, to 15 pound weights when I finished.

So again, my entire workout plan starts and ends here.

However, yoga is also a big deal for me, and I have two women I love working with on YouTube.

I have other workout dreams, Shaun T and Cize for instance. I tried that one recently and it was rough on my knees, so that's in the dream pile for now. I'd also love to do the Morning Meltdown 100 with Jericho McMatthews. Both these workouts are on Beachbody on Demand, as well.

Another workout that I'm capable of doing in my current state of unfit, is Country Heat with Autumn Calabrese. I don't care for her style as much as some of the others, but it's a solid workout that I'm capable of, so it's in the group!

Of course I'm so looking forward to the day that I'm back at SeaWorld and Disney Springs to do some walking and not be in pain. And if they ever re-open our pool here... of course we're headed to "winter" now so the water gets too cold, but maybe a dream for spring.

This is where I start, pinning most of my hopes on Joel. So when you hear me talking about him, you'll know who I mean. He's funny and kind and I've never felt talked down to or out of place doing his workouts, despite everyone in the video being athletic gods!

It'll be fun to see where we go from this. But don't think marathon! bleh!
