Welcome to a New Day

Welcome to the new day.

I’ve been working very hard these last few months, attempting to carve something new that could align with the current realities. I think what I bring best is love and laughter.

I pray you have both today.

Because I’m of an age where this is far from my first big shake, I’m blessed to have hindsight and perspective. If you’ll allow me to gift you with a blessing for the new week, I pray you peace, and a deep understanding that if you walk in the truth of who you really are, you will never walk alone and you will always find your way.

Stay humble. Believe in your dreams. Be kind.

So much love ~ Samantha

Trapped by the Mouse

This fish is out of water and drowning in magic.

Chapter Three

The farther we got from the only life I’d ever known, the deeper the realization dawned that I had no idea how to be anyone other than who my mother raised me to be. This compliant, unquestioning woman, who was everything for everyone else, but had no one in her corner. I didn’t want to be that anymore, but I also didn’t see how not to be.

“You never did say why you were headed to Orlando.” His voice penetrated my thoughts. “I’m not trying to pry, but I’ve watched you stare out that window for the past hour, looking like you’re about to cry, then pushing your emotion away. I just thought maybe you’d like to change the subject in your head for a while.”

I just shook my head in disbelief.

“That may be the nicest thing a person has ever said to me.” And I meant that.

Mostly because I actually believed he meant it.

He blushed and rubbed his hand along the back of the neck.

“We’re flying buddies. Just keeping up morale.”

“Of course.” We both smiled because we both knew he was lying.

One of the most popular drinks at The Boathouse, the Duck Duck Razz

The Boathouse is well-known for its waterfront views, seafood, oyster bar, and cocktails. One of their iconic cocktail drinks is the Duck Duck Razz, which is equally beautiful and delicious. It even comes with a rubber duck to take home, too!

  • Lemon juice.
  • Simple syrup.

Next time you’re out at Disney Springs, make sure you say hi to Mickey!

I love Disney Springs’ atmosphere. It’s a great place for a quiet walk by the water in the morning, or to sit on a planter in the afternoon and people watch, and of course… music is back!

That’s right, music is back at Disney Springs as of this week!

So head out, grab a drink, and make our musicians feel welcomed back.

It’s so exciting to have music back at Disney Springs, but do remember to say a prayer for our beloved Cast Members who’ve been laid off and are struggling.

A great way to support them, if you’re able, is through the Cast Member Pantry That link will take you to their FB page where you can find out more.

Until next time ~ Samantha
