Day 340 was an easy day spent soaking up the ambiance at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Josh and I started out early with a fan club stream from the 4th floor balcony looking out over Magic Kingdom. It’s one of my favorite quiet spots and when I first arrived in Florida five years ago, so alone and so scared and excited for this new life, I spent a LOT of time on this balcony. We perused a couple of stores, I found a really great cookbook called the Wine Lover’s Cookbook that gives you recipes and tells you what to pair them with. Which is sort of what we’re already doing with the Epcot Festivals Cookbook where Amy and I, and sometimes Josh, are doing cooking videos from those recipes. The book has the wine or other types of beverage listed as to what to pair them with. We’ll be doing more of that soon. Next up for me though is getting the magazines back up and running and Spark A Dream out. Slow and steady, right?
Anyway, I have digressed…
It was a nice stream, I got to share some of my memories from when I first arrived in Florida. The Contemporary became a bit of a home base for me that first year and I truly do have some very cherished… oh I just had an idea! I’m digressing again LOL Cherrised memories is where I was going. 😉
I can’t believe this year is almost over, but when I look back at this entire journey from when I took a mad leap of faith, packed a suitcase, and left everything else behind… there are not words that express my gratitude for this life. It is everything to me. I am so grateful.
Anyway, the second stream for Disney Lovin was a bit longer than we usually do because Josh got into the zone answering some Disney questions, but we went through another shop, saw a really cute Dooney bag and some halloween merch, then we went out back and showed off the marina and another great quiet spot at the Contemporary.
Now that I live literally behind Magic Kingdom, after the stream I was able to go home for a bit… and I confess, I took a nap! LOL I LOVED it!This whole 365 I’ve lived about an hour’s bus ride away and so once I was there I was there and once I left I was done, but not this day! This day I went home, took a nap, and headed back to the Contemporary, or more to Bay Lake Tower’s Top of the World lounge later that night with Amy and Kim.

We streamed from the lounge twice for the fan club, once just a look how cool this is kind of stream, but then at 9, we streamed Happily Ever After fireworks from up there.
If you’ve never seen fireworks from either the California Grill or Top of the World, I highly recommend it. It’s such a unique view because, for all intents and purposes, you are above the fireworks.
Here’s just a glimpse at the finale from a video Amy took while I was streaming.
It was a magical evening of food, fireworks, friendship, and cake!
Seriously, this cake at Top of the World lounge is one of the most decadent things I’ve tried on this 365. It’s seven layers of chocolate, cream, toffee, yellow cake, and that whipped cream looking thing there on the side has been flavored differently every time I’ve had it… oh and that’s salted caramel on the plate below that chocolate replica of the dragon from the Electrical Water Pageant. How perfect is that? $11 Top of the World lounge. Pair it with fireworks for a perfect evening, it can’t be missed!
So yet another magical day in the 365. Thank you all so much for following along. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
